Work is progressing at pace on the transformation of Worcester鈥檚 Shrub Hill Quarter, with the demolition of Unit 1 now well underway.

This milestone marks a significant step forward in reshaping the city鈥檚 eastern gateway into a modern, vibrant destination

Following several weeks of preparatory activity, including the safe removal of internal fixtures and fittings, demolition crews are now dismantling the distinctive blue corrugated unit and adjoining brick tower at Shrub Hill Industrial Estate.

The demolition and site clearance works are expected to continue until the end of August.

Councillor Alan Amos, Cabinet Member for Business and Skills at 茄子视频 County Council, said: 鈥淚鈥檓 pleased to see demolition works now progressing well. This visible activity underlines our commitment to the long-term regeneration of the Shrub Hill Quarter. The Shrub Hill Quarter regeneration is a joint initiative between 茄子视频 County Council, Worcester City Council, and the 茄子视频 Local Enterprise Partnership, working together to breathe new life into this key part of the city.

Backed by the Government鈥檚 Brownfield Land Release Fund, the project aims to deliver a bold new district featuring high-quality homes, employment space, and engaging public areas.
