Evidence base and background papers
Three new reports have been published to support the preparation of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy:
The ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ State of Nature Report 2023
Coming 5 years on from the publication of the 2018 ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Biodiversity Action Plan, this report sets out the threats and challenges facing nature in ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ today, presents facts and statistics on the current status of locally important habitats and species, and celebrates some of the success stories and projects being delivered by conservation groups across the county.

The State of ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ’s Grasslands
A collaborative project undertaken by ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ County Council, Natural England and ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Wildlife Trust, this report compares data from the ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Grassland Inventory (surveys undertaken largely during the 1990s and 2000s) and the 2021 ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ Habitat Inventory, to interpret the changes which have occurred in semi-natural grassland type, extent, protection, management and condition. It is the first phase of a more comprehensive review of ÇÑ×ÓÊÓƵ’s important semi-natural grasslands.
