Potholes
We have a comprehensive regime of safety inspections and proactively inspect all of our roads and footways in the County. When we are notified of potholes by members of the public, we inspect within 28 working days and arrange suitable repairs if required. The timeframe for repair can vary depending on the level of risk and wherever possible, we try and repair them permanently first time.

Other defects
As well as potholes, roads and footways may have additional defects such as overgrown vegetation, broken or missing signage, bollards and fencing, pedestrian guardrails, road markings, cracking and rutting.
Responses to adverse weather events such as high winds, heavy rain, extreme heat, snow and ice, and flooding are included in this category.
